The Cemetery Committee of the Monroe County History Center would like to attract more volunteer groups for such experiences while continuing their efforts at White Oak Cemetery to clean tombstones, reset and repair broken stones and provide members of the community instruction on cemetery care and restoration.

We're fortunate to have community members such as this group of volunteers who take such initiative to recognize the historical value of our local cemeteries and preserve their integrity and beauty with such passion. A special thanks goes to all of the Cemetery Committee members who include: Lou Malcomb and Robert Dodd, Marion Sinclair, Saundra Taylor, Lisa Simons, Alexis Andronikos, Liz Knapp, Kevin Lefel, Carol Seaman and Herman Young. We are pleased to recognize this very special group as our October 2010 BRAVO Award recipient.
