Saturday - Sunday, June 7 - 8

The 42nd Indiana Infantry Civil War re-enactors will be in full attire again this year on the lawn of the History Center for demonstrations and presentations throughout the weekend of June 7 & 8.  The fully equipped infantry, led by long-time re-enactor Joel Foust, will demonstrate weaponry, camp cooking, and medical treatment along with real musket drills.

Four additional presentations will take place on Saturday inside the History Center, including a first-person activity for children and parents at 10:00 a.m. by Dean Dorrell: “A Visit with Abraham Lincoln.”  Re-enactors will be on-site on through Saturday night and into Sunday morning.  The encampment will be open on Sunday for informal interactions with re-enactors until about 2:00 pm.
