Genealogy Library: Vertical File Index
The Genealogy Library staff maintains a vertical file of newspaper clippings and other information relevant to local history and genealogy. Penny Mathiesen maintains the file and index, which is updated semi-annually.
The current index is available on-line as a .pdf document of about 20 pages.
To perform a keyword search on the index, press Control and F together; then enter the keyword in the popup box to search.
The Monroe County Public Library also has an on-line vertical file index for their collection. It integrates their index with ours.
