Donations to the Genealogy and Local History Library
Donations in Cash: The Genealogy Library charges nominal fees for copying and research, but this small income barely covers basic expenses of paper, toner and other supplies. Acid-free boxes of various sizes are needed. These boxes are expensive and must be used to preserve items stored in the library.
We urge our patrons (and others!) to help support the library by making other cash contributions to support our operations and permit acquisition of additional resources.
Donations of Books and Other Genealogy Tools: The Library welcomes donation of books related to local (principally Monroe and surrounding counties) history. Family histories and other historical print materials add greatly to our collection. However, we might not be able to accept books on non-local topics or regions because of shelf space limits. If you have questions about what we will accept, please e-mail the Library Director.
