Opens: December 16th Closes: March 24, 2012 The Bloomington Old Time Mu-sic and Dance Group is dedicated to the enjoyment of music and dance, BOTMDG is a local nonprofit community organization. The music is like "fiddle tunes from Appalachia," and the dances are contra-dances and square dances. BOTMDG first began having dances in the basement of the Monroe County His-tory Center. Opening Reception December 16th,7pm-9pm. Enjoy a night of food, drink, and dancing to live music! |

"Titanic: 100 Years Later" |

| Opens March 8th.This exhibit will look at Monroe County’s involvement with the sinking of this “unsinkable” ship. Monroe County resident Mr. John Ber-tram Crafton was a first class passenger on the Titanic and he was among the hundreds that perished in the tragic events of that fateful night back in April, 1912. Mr. Crafton has a head-stone in Rosehill Cemetery. Closes May 26. |

"What is Your Quilting Story?" |

| Opens March 2. The theme for the annual quilt show is “The Quilter’s Story”. We are displaying quilts from community members along with the stories attached to the quilts. We have gathered stories about where the quilts come from, why they were made, who were they made for and many other fascinating details. Please come see this amazing show of color and memories. Closes July 31. |

| Opens: September 27th Closes: February 3rd, 2012. This exhibition looks at the development of toys, games, and childhood memorabilia from the early 1900s to today. Many toys we used to play with have evolved or fallen out of fashion, but there are many that continue to be entertaining for all. |

| Carol Wise has made clothing, much of it by hand, for most of her adult life. For Carol, clothes-making offers a sense of self-sufficiency and continuity with the past. She can do for herself, as did her ancestors. Closes: April 7th, 2012. |

| Admission to the Museum is free to members (and a number of guests depending on membership level). For the Current and Permanent Exhibits, adults' admission is $2 and for children 5 - 17 admission is $1; 4 & under free. Donations are also very welcome. | |
